eBeeHoney Candy

eBeeHoney’s candy variety pack includes six flavors—apple, grape, honey, lemon, orange and strawberry—all filled with honey.

Each pack can be bought in half-pound, one-pound or one-case weights. Five pounds of individually-wrapped candy is approximately 410 pieces.

eBeeHoney’s farm is located in Ashland, Ohio. After being in the honey business for 15 years, all honey is filled by hand. No machines are used anywhere in the filling process. Honey also is bought from other local beekeepers, and the business is solely an online venture.

Candy Industry Names Top Companies From Fancy Food Show

The top 13 note-worthy chocolatiers of the 59th annual Fancy Food Show have been named, and honey is featured in one of the award-winning exhibitors.

The Tea Room Chocolate Co.’s Chamomile & Honey Organic White Chocolate Bar received a silver SOFI in the chocolate category, its second Specialty Outstanding Food Innovation (SOFI) award, according to Candy Industry. The blend of honey, premium white chocolate and chamomile blossoms are hand-crafted in San Leandro, California.

Chuao Chocolatier received an honorable mention as a trendsetter at the show, becoming the first Venezuelan chocolatier based in the United States. Southern California’s premier artisan chocolatier, Chuao’s Honeycomb Bar is made with amber honey caramelized into crisp bits and enrobed in dark chocolate.

Other trends at the show included feminine packaging, beverage industry-inspired flavors, “contemporized” brand campaigns and “noncommittal” snacking options. The Fancy Food Show estimated 24,000 attendees and was hosted by the Specialty Food Association. More than 180,000 specialty food products on display broke previous exhibit space records.

Droga Chocolates was started by Michelle Crochet in 2007. Growing up addicted to her mother’s homemade rocky road candy, Crochet’s love and passion for good food was deepened through her time spent living in Italy. Droga’s candy kitchen now is housed in the foodie-centric San Francisco Bay area.
