Alexander’s Chocolate Classics’ Organic Honey & Peanut Butter Truffles

Organic honey is combined with peanut butter to create this eight piece-truffle set by Alexander’s Chocolate Classics.

The truffles are handcrafted using ingredients from both Europe and the United States.

Chocolatiers, Confectioners Celebrate Their Own With Awards

There is no question that American love chocolate.

The United States has no shortage of confections and chocolates to choose from. The question is—how does one choose? We have so many delectable sweets to satisfy our cravings that sometimes it can be tough to differentiate which ones are the top of the crop.

To help, the 2014 Best Chocolatiers and Confectioners of America Awards recently were announced by TasteTV and the International Chocolate Salon. We’ve highlighted some award winners that use our favorite sweetener—honey.

A Six Star Award winner includes The Tea Room Chocolate Company. The Tea Room Chocolate Co.’s White Chocolate Bar is infused with organic honey and whole chamomile tea blossoms, making for a unique handcrafted premium bar.

Five Star Awards winners include Chuao Chocolatier and Droga Chocolates. Chuao Chocolatier’s Honeycomb Bar contains amber honey caramelized into crisp bits and enrobed in dark chocolate. Each 2.8-ounce bar is handcrafted, all-natural and gluten-free.

Droga Chocolate’s has two made with honey products in its arsenal. Nutty Puddles is Droga’s newest treat, and it features wildflower honey and whole California roasted almonds combined with signature honey caramel and premium dark chocolate. Put Your Money on Honey chocolates are honey caramels that include dark chocolate and sea salt. They are sweetened with California wildflower honey and enrobed in premium dark chocolate from Guittard.
