thinkThin® products were created on the premise of providing natural and delicious portable nutrition to support the health and well-being of busy, active people who care about what they eat. Lizanne Falsetto, CEO of thinkThin, was kind enough to tell us more about their products and honey’s role in the bars.

How did your company get its start?

Single and a mother of two, Lizanne (Falsetto) started thinkThin® as a direct result of her family.  Balancing a career and motherhood led to the thinkThin® formula: simple, nutritious and delicious food. A former professional model and avid traveler, she was given the nickname “Mother Earth” for packing pots and pans in her suitcase. Lizanne was constantly challenged with finding healthy food on the go. thinkThin® bars were developed as portable nutrition: a healthy solution for a busy day. She started making homemade, naturally delicious protein bars right out of her small kitchen just over ten years ago. Today, Lizanne has turned her home-grown 0 gram sugar, high protein, gluten free delights into a national wellness phenomenon.

Why is honey a great ingredient to use in bars?

We wanted to use honey in our bars because it’s 100% natural. thinkThin®  Crunch bars are the closest thing to a handful of nuts. Honey is the goodness that holds it all together.

What item is your best seller and why do you think that is?

Chocolate Dipped Mixed Nuts. Everyone loves rich dark chocolate and this is a delicious healthy snack. The sweet and savory flavors together definitely makes Chocolate Dipped Mixed Nuts our best-selling bar from the thinkThin® Crunch line.

Honey is a natural source of energy, did this fact play a role in your decision to use honey in the bars?

Absolutely! It’s all about what’s inside. We chose to use honey because it tastes great and it is nature’s sweetener. thinkThin® is all about providing portable nutrition to go everywhere with our consumers.

What makes your products different than others that are currently on the market?

thinkThin® Crunch bars have two times the protein and 70% less sugar than other leading nut bars. These bars are tasty and lower in calories, helping your body to convert the food into energy quicker.

Do you think that honey’s popularity will grow in the snacking category?

Yes! Honey is becoming an option for premium brands. It has the natural quality that people want.

Does honey play a role in marketing your products?

By using honey, we are able to call out that thinkThin® Crunch bars have an impressive 70% less sugar than other leading nut bars.
